2009 was a fantastic year for Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and Miami Children's Hospital. Major donations, major stars and heart-warming miracles everyday…here are but a few of the amazing events of 2009:

Olympic and Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade was inducted into the International Pediatric Hall of Fame
$1.250 M gift to fund the Ion Epilepsy Clinic
Dwyane Wade, Andy Roddick, Mike Lowell each gave $50,000 for West Kendall Center
Children's Miracle Network sponsor Costco increased fundraising by 31% and Publix by 6%.

Children's Miracle Network Holiday Toy Drive hosted by WQAM and Walgreens

Orlando Alzugaray (Big O) from WQAM hosted his 6th annual holiday toy drive benefiting the patients at Miami Children's Hospital. This year he teamed up with Walgreens locations in Broward and Monroe Counties. Together they collected a COW (Container on Wheels) filled with toys. The container is 16 feet long and 8 feet high! Thank you to Orlando, Murray Selen from Walgreens and everyone who helped to make this year’s toy drive a HUGE success.

Miami Children's Hospital is the only Children’s Miracle Network affiliated hospital in South Florida.
