43rd Annual Queen of Hearts Luncheon

Thursday, December 17, 2009

Miami Children’s Hospital Auxiliary hosted the 43rd Annual Queen of Hearts luncheon, November 12 at the Riviera Country Club. Paula Brockway was crowned the 2010 Queen of Hearts by outgoing Queen Swanee DiMare at a luncheon chaired by Nicole Lozano with Jennifer Valoppi again doing a fantastic job as emcee.   Proceeds from the event go to Miami Children's Hospital Foundation to help provide funds for world-class care at Miami Children’s Hospital. “We are so thrilled to honor Paula as our 2010 Queen,” stated Lucy Morillo, President of Miami Children's Hospital Foundation, “she is an inspiration to us all with her involvement and dedication to many amazing charitable entities.”

Neiman MarcusCoral Gables, General Manager Steven Brunnelle and Director of PR Katherine Rubino presented a fashion show hot off the runways of New York and Paris. Models walked among the tables in an array of styles from casual daytime to elegant evening attire. Nicole Lozano provided the beautiful pink and green floral centerpieces and Bill Ussery Motors, Inc. sponsored the luncheon. “2010 will be a year of many celebrations,” said Ms. Morillo. “Not only are we thrilled to have Paula as Queen, but our beloved Miami Children's Hospital will blow out 60 candles, March 21st in honor of it’s 60th Anniversary as the leading pediatric hospital in South Florida. To top that the Auxiliary will also celebrate 60 years of dedicated service and commitment to the Hospital and our community.”
